ALL SCHOOL PLAY - Sleeping Beauty-a little touch of magic!
Cornerstone Classical School of Basalt is excited to announce that this year's drama production is none other than “Sleeping Beauty”. What a classic tale. After many years of wanting a child, King Stefan and his wife are blessed with a beautiful young girl who they name Aurora. We learn of the beautiful princess Aurora and how, through her fairy friends, is given a selection of 'gifts' for her birthday. It is also a celebration for King Stefan and the neighboring kingdom as Aurora has been betrothed to Prince Phillip, the dashing son of their king. But enter Maleficent, the upset, controlling and very angry fairy that was NOT invited to the party. As the other fairies bestow such fine gifts as beauty and song and just before the last fairy, Merriweather, is about to bestow her gift, Maleficent makes a grand entry to foil the celebratory plans!
